Legal Definition of Home Furnishings

I have looked at legal dictionaries on the definition of „institution” in relation to a will, but I am not clear. Please tell me what a will means when it says that „furniture and furnishings” are sought after by me. Would the furniture include splinter items, kitchen utensils, tableware wall clocks, wall ornaments, etc.? I would have to see the entire will because it is possible that this category of „tangible movable property” has been divided between several people, in which case the exact language used may affect what you receive. It is possible that the language quoted refers to all furniture, which is a fairly broad category. Traditionally, „furniture and furnishings” refers to all furniture and things such as wall hangings, wall clocks, wall ornaments, etc. As defined in Black`s Law Dictionary, it could also be described as utensils (cutlery, kitchen utensils, etc.). To be more specific, I would need to know if other bequests of personal property were made to others, the precise wording used in the will, and other terms that may have been used in your bequest. It is best to fax me a copy of the estate page (973-377-8167) and an email address that I can reply to after viewing it. You may want to research the NJ Act on the internet to interpret the language.
