S.G.R. 924(E). – in the exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 (1) of the Indian Services Act 1951 (61 of 1951) and replacing the Indian Forest Service (Remuneration) Rules 2007, except for acts done or omitted before such replacement, the Central Government shall, after consultation with the Governments of the States concerned, adopts the following rules: namely: – Positions that are above the upper echelon in the Indian Forest Service under state governments. Provided also that in cases where, between January 1, 2016 and the date of announcement of these Rules, a member of the Service has been reclassified to a higher salary scale due to a promotion or upgrade, the member of the Service may elect to move to the modified salary structure as of the date of such promotion or upgrade, as the case may be.
